How do the Login Reward events work?

The Login Reward calendar is a limited timed event that provides the player with rewards for
logging into the game. For each daily connection, the player will unlock a slot and automatically collect the reward. The lifetime of the daily calendar is always longer than the actual number of slots. For example, a 9 slots reward calendar can live up to 12 days.
