When will Nintendo Switch get all the updates?
- Switch will get the Release Update approximately two days after other platforms.
- For Switch only, the content of Bugfix Patch 1 will be rolled into Bugfix Patch 2 and will follow approximately one week after its release on all other platforms.
Why are these changes being made?
We have updated our release scheduled for the Nintendo Switch due to changes in the platform certification process that are beyond our control. Whilst we endeavor to work within the new timeframes, there will be periods where players will be on a different version of the game.
Will this affect Cross-play?
During times that Nintendo Switch is on a different game version, players on Nintendo Switch will be unable to play with friends or other players on other platforms.
Will Nintendo Switch still be able to Cross Progress with other platforms?
Cross Progression will remain unchanged. Please refer to this section for further information on Nintendo Switch Cross Progression.
Will Nintendo Switch players get compensation for the delay?
We will be compensating for delays related to Rift progression in the way of Rift Fragments to unlock the initial Tiers of the Rift.
Do you have a plan to make Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade version?
There are no plans at the present time to make an upgraded Nintendo Switch 2 version of Dead by Daylight. We are listening to player feedback around this and will update if the situation changes.
Do you have a plan to discontinue the support on Nintendo Switch 1? If so, when?
We don’t currently have plans to make any other changes to our Nintendo Switch support.
