Similar to starting Windows in Safe Mode, a “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game.

If Dead by Daylight runs correctly after performing a clean boot, then the issue is caused by interference from an application or service. You can find out which application or service is causing the issue by systematically turning them on or off and restarting your computer.
