How do I manually install Denuvo Anti-Cheat?

1. Navigate to your Dead by Daylight install directory
   • You can right-click Dead by Daylight on Steam and navigate to Manage > Browse local files, which opens the File Explorer in the Dead by Daylight directory
2.  Navigate to the “Denuvo” folder
   • Run the “AntiCheatInstaller.exe” (you may need Administrator privileges to do this)
3. Click “Install”, followed by “Accept”
4. You should see an “Installation completed successfully!” message
5. Dead by Daylight automatically completes these steps when you launch the game through Steam for the first time, in which case you should see Windows User Account Control popups instead.

 How do I remove leftover Denuvo Anti-Cheat installation and files?

1. Dead by Daylight will automatically disable Denuvo Anti-Cheat after the test and clean up any installation files in its own directory. In certain cases, you may want to remove the Denuvo Anti-Cheat installation and files manually from your system.
   • Please note that removing these files may affect any other games that use Denuvo Anti-Cheat specifically. You can check which anti-cheat is used by different games by accessing the Steam Store page for the game or consulting the developer’s resources.
2. Search for “Add or remove programs” in your Windows start menu
3. Locate “Denuvo Anti-Cheat” in the list
   • Click the three dots and select “Uninstall”
   • Once you follow any Windows User Account Control popups, Denuvo Anti-Cheat should be successfully uninstalled from your system
